Overview

Seafile is an open-source cloud storage solution designed for performance and security. Less 'collaborative suite' oriented than Nextcloud, it focuses on the essentials: synchronizing files fast and well, with end-to-end encryption.

Its key concept: libraries. You create one library per project or per use (photos, documents, work), each synchronized independently. You encrypt those containing sensitive data - Seafile only sees encrypted data on the server.

Built-in versioning keeps the history of all your modifications. A file deleted by mistake? A previous version to restore? A rollback on an entire folder? It's instant.
