Overview

Resilio Sync (formerly BitTorrent Sync) is a file sync solution based on the BitTorrent protocol. No central server: files travel directly from one device to another peer-to-peer, encrypted in transit.

The concept: you generate a secret key for each folder to sync, you share this key with your other devices (or colleagues), and files sync automatically. No third party sees your data, no cloud stores them unencrypted.

It's the ultimate solution for those who want no intermediary: family sharing photos, team collaborating on heavy folders, sync between your work computer and your seedbox without cloud. Access key = only thing to protect.

Resilio or Syncthing? expand_more
Resilio is based on BitTorrent and slightly faster for large file transfers. Syncthing is 100% open-source and more privacy-focused. Both work P2P without central server. Resilio is preinstalled on seedbox.fr.
How do I share a folder with a friend? expand_more
In the interface, you generate a share key for the folder, you send them the key, they add it in their Resilio client - and the folder syncs automatically on their device. Simple and encrypted.
What if my seedbox is off? expand_more
Your seedbox runs 24/7, so it's always available. But Resilio also works between your other devices directly: if two of your machines are online, they sync between each other without going through the seedbox.
