Overview

TeslaMate connects to your Tesla account and records everything your car does: drives, charges, consumption, battery state. Continuously, without you having to launch anything.

All this data stays with you, on your seedbox. No third-party service reselling your driving history, no opaque cloud. You keep control of your drives and your habits.

TeslaMate turns these readings into readable dashboards via Grafana: a map of your drives, efficiency curves, the cost of each charge, and tracking of battery degradation over time.

Frequently asked questions

Does TeslaMate need my Tesla account credentials?

Yes, TeslaMate uses a Tesla API access token to read your car's data. This token stays stored on your seedbox; it never passes through any third-party service.

Does it drain the car's battery?

TeslaMate is designed to limit unnecessary wake-ups of the car. It goes to sleep when the vehicle sleeps, so as not to draw on the battery continuously.

What data can I view?

Drives on a map, consumption and efficiency, charge history and cost, battery degradation, statistics by day, month and year. All in customizable Grafana dashboards.
