Overview

Sonarr is the equivalent of Radarr for TV series. You follow your favorite shows, Sonarr monitors new episodes and downloads automatically on release, based on your quality preferences.

The integrated calendar shows the next episodes coming up, live broadcasts, expected complete seasons. You never miss an episode again, and your collections are automatically organized by series then by season, with correct episode names.

Like Radarr, Sonarr integrates perfectly with Prowlarr (indexers), your torrent client, Plex/Jellyfin (automatic scan) and Jellyseerr (user requests). Once configured, your TV becomes a permanent streaming service.

Does Sonarr detect new seasons automatically? expand_more
Yes. For followed series, Sonarr monitors announced new seasons and will automatically download them as soon as episodes are available.
What about anime? expand_more
Sonarr has a dedicated 'anime series' mode that handles the particular numbering of anime (absolute episodes, off-series, OVAs). Dedicated anime trackers are supported via Prowlarr.
Can it handle series spanning several decades? expand_more
Without issue. Sonarr handles unlimited seasons and relies on TheTVDB for the canonical structure of each series, including very long ones (The Simpsons, Dr Who...).
